Mere words are totally inadequate to describe the beauty of Cortina, a small town located in Northern Italy, surrounded by the Dolomites Alps. The majestic mountains which are part of a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. In the winter it is a famous resort for skiing. I visited Cortina last month with my family.
Although there are only about 6000 permanent residents in the small town, there are many charming shops and restaurants. Whilst summer 2017 in Italy has been extremely hot with temperatures nearing 40 degrees, our week in Cortina was cool and refreshing. I look forward to returning next year, as well !
I took two Prosecco Bags from Milano, to carry books, camera, snacks, etc. while hiking in the Dolomites.
I hope you enjoy the photos I had taken during my wonderful journey.
