Camicissima, the Italian fashion company that offers shirts for men and women,
is celebrating 10 years of business.
During Salone del Mobile 2014, they installed giant sewing machines in 7 locations in Milano.
The patterns painted on the sewing machines are taken from the actual fabric designs
of their shirts.
In Milano one can see other installations reflecting the importance of the fashion industry
for this city.
For instance, in front of Cadorna station, there is an installation by Claes Oldenburg,
a giant needle with thread.
Here are some photos of the Camicissima event.

On April 25~27, Costruzioni, a shop from Pavia, held an exhibition at Villa Cabrini in Venice.
The villa was constructed in the 1600′s, and is surrounded by 5 hectares of beautiful countryside.
SHIMA-SHIMA participated with a pyramid made of 12 cushions,
the largest at the base was 140 x 140 cm, and the smallest at the top was 5 x 5 cm.
The cushions can now be seen in the Costruzioni show window.
Here are some photos from the exhibition.

for inmates at Opera prison in Milano.
Their brand-name is Borseggi.
IoU Design is a fundraising foundation that produces wooden garden furniture.
IoU designed the furniture, and Opera in Fiore sewed the cushion covers
using SHIMA-SHIMA fabric.
This February, this unique collaboration between the 3 countries
was introduced for the first time at the Stockholm Furniture Fair.
At Salone del Mobile 2014, we exhibited our collection
at the Acceleratore d’Impresa Ristretta showroom,a beautiful space
that is owned by the city of Milano, dedicated to works produced in prisons in this city.
Our project was also featured at the Swedish Design Goes Milan exhibition at La Posteria,
in the Brera area.
