SHIMA-SHIMA Origami Workshop at Bagatti Valsecchi Museum

During Milan Design Week 2016, Bagatti Valsecchi Museum launched a line of SHIMA-SHIMA products made especially for the museum shop.  In addition, they had organized several events related to Japanese culture.  On April 21,  a talk by Noriko Tsuiki and Margherita Rosina, director of Fondazione Ratti, was held at the museum.

The following month, there was an origami workshop at the museum, using SHIMA-SHIMA origami papers.  In Italy, there is quite a lot of interest in origami, and the children and adults who had attended this workshop succeeded in learning several projects.

I was particularly interested to see how creative the children were, inventing frogs with 3 eyes.  Italian people like to “think outside the box”, even as young children they express their originality and whimsical ideas.

We are truly grateful for all of the opportunities that Bagatti Valsecchi has provided.
